Barnacles on the Propellor
Here's a photo of WindSong's prop (a fixed, 2-blade factory standard prop). It was taken during a short haul in Late July, after being in the Chesapeake Bay water since May.
The hull and keel were clean -
no barnacles. There were some, visible in the picture, on
the Saildrive Leg.
The prop had been painted (by me) before the season began
with 1-coat of Interlux Primocon, and 2-coats of Interlux
Trilux Prop & Drive paint. I did the same thing in the
following year - same result. This year I looked for
alternatives, but ended up with the same combination - I''
short-haul a little earlier. Stay tuned......
